Vermont's colleges and universities are among the best in the country, enhancing
not only the quality of life in the state, but also providing jobs and education
for all ages and student levels. In Chittenden County, higher education provides
nearly 6,000 job-holders with a nearly $150 million impact on the local economy.
The University of Vermont (UVM), the Community College of Vermont and four
private colleges offer a wide variety of programs for traditional age as well as
