Wingate
Natural beauty aboundsStraight off a postcard, Jericho, Vermont is home to the Old Red Mill, an icon of Vermont life and now a National Historic Site. Today, the building houses the Jericho Historical Society, museum, and craft shop. Perhaps equally representative of times long past, a large town green at Jericho Center still plays host to a variety of events throughout the year.

Jericho is also home to Mill’s Riverside Park, located on Route 15, where visitors are rewarded with a stunning view of Mount Mansfield. The Town of Jericho website (www.jerichovt.gov) describes the scene by saying, "Mount Mansfield dominates the scene and reminds us of where we live, not in suburbia, but in villages defined by open land."

Wingate was developed within this spirit. Because of its location, residents are mere minutes from Mount Mansfield’s approach trails, Underhill State Park, Indian Brook Park, and Camel’s Hump State Park. The open waters of Lake Champlain lie just 15 miles west, as does the cultural center of Burlington.

All together, Wingate’s surroundings make it an ideal place for you to settle down…while your standard of living is raised.
