Where We See Thermoforming Making Waves
From rugged automotive parts to sterile medical trays, custom thermoforming is a versatile, cost-effective solution for creating durable and lightweight components. Because the process is so adaptable, it's the secret behind a massive variety of everyday products. Here are the top four industries relying on it right now:
1. Automotive & Transportation
Cars, bikes, and utility vehicles lean heavily on thermoforming because it keeps weight down without sacrificing durability. In this space, you will usually see things like interior door panels, dashboard trim, trunk liners, center consoles, and custom seating structures or protective cowlings for e-bikes.
2. Medical & Healthcare
Cleanliness, precision, and reliability are everything in medical settings. Thermoforming is the go-to method here for single-use surgical instrument trays, sterile blister packaging, diagnostic equipment housings, wheelchair parts, and ergonomic supports.
3. Aerospace
Aerospace and defense work demands materials that are tough yet remarkably lightweight. Common parts rolling out of the shop for this sector include interior cabin panels, overhead storage bin trim, seat shrouds, HVAC ducting, and rugged custom transit cases for sensitive gear.

We can have your part go from concept to creation in as little as two weeks. This all depends, of course, on how far along in the project you already are (do you have your part already modeled?) and what our bandwidth looks like.
On a deadline? We get it. Let us know and we will do our best to work you into our schedule, if we can. -
Vacuum forming uses suction to pull heated plastic sheet down tightly against a mold, making it a great, cost-effective choice for simpler parts, trays, and housings.
Pressure forming adds compressed air from the top side to push the plastic into the mold with much higher force. This gives you ultra-sharp details, crisp corners, and textured finishes that look almost identical to injection molding, but with significantly lower tooling costs. We do not currently offer pressure forming as a service. -
The right material depends entirely on your part's application. We frequently work with ABS for durable housings and structural parts, Polycarbonate for high-impact transparency and strength, and HDPE or PETG for packaging and chemical resistance.
Not sure which one you need? Send us your specs and our team will help you pick the ideal polymer.

To give you the fastest and most accurate quote, we prefer 3D CAD files in STEP, DXF, DWG formats.
If you are still in the early napkin-sketch or concept phase, don't worry—send over whatever drawings or 2D PDFs you have, and our team can help refine the design for manufacturing.
